HISTORY
Badger Sportswear was created in 1971 in Statesville, North Carolina. The company was purchased by brothers Jerry and Bill Carr in 1984, who in 1994 launched the successful Badger Sport brand you know today.
Alleson Athletic was founded in 1933 by Abe and William Levine. The Don Alleson athletic brand was launched in 1965 and was rebranded as Alleson Athletic in 2004.
Starting in 2016, CCMP Capital assembled an all-star line-up to form Founder Sport Group, staring with Badger Sportswear and adding Alleson Athletic and Garb Athletic in 2017. The combined strengths of these brands allow us to offer our team dealers, decorators and collegiate bookstores a host of benefits – including superior quality, rapid fulfillment, an expansive team uniform and fan apparel selection, more customization, enhanced digital design, decorating, and ordering capabilities – all with best-in-class service.
